Associate Pastor at Sacred Heart Church in Lombard 1959-1964, St Ann Church Crest Hill 1964-1965, Visitation Church Elmhurst 1965-1971. Pastor of St. Luke Carol Stream 1971-1980, Holy Ghost Wood Dale 1980-1989 and founding pastor of St. Daniel the Prophet Church 1989 until time of his retirement 2005. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid golfer

Rev. Kevin Shanley, O. Carm., Roman Catholic Priest, age 75, died Feb. 25, 2007. Born Oct. 17, 1931 in Jersey City, NJ. Professed his vows with the Carmelites August 1950. Ordained a priest May 26, 1956. Rev. Shanley was an educator, journalist and counselor. He served as Communications Director and was the editor of the Carmelite newspaper, the Carmelite Review, for 35 years. He worked tirelessly to provide education and counsel to the Irish both in Ireland and the United States. Rev. Kevin Shanley served as weekend associate at Saint Daniel the Prophet, Wheaton.

Father James V. Marchionda, a Dominican priest, preacher, composer, conductor, singer, and woodwind instrumentalist (clarinet and saxophones), and speaker, who offers parish missions, workshops, lectures and concerts throughout the United States and abroad. A member of the Chicago Dominican Province of St. Albert the Great, he served nine years as Vicar Provincial, and is presently a member of the Provincial Council

Rev Thomas Sularz Our Second Pastor May he rest in peace



 Fr. Sularz was ordained for the Diocese of Joliet on December 8, 1971. He served as Transitional Deacon and Associate Pastor at Immaculate Conception, Elmhurst, Associate Pastor of St. Petronille, Glen Ellyn, and assigned to the faculty of Driscoll Catholic High School. He returned to St. Petronille for two additional years as Associate Pastor. His first pastorship was at Holy Family,Joliet, followed by Pastor of St. Scholastica, Woodridge, St. Philips, Addison and St. Daniel the Prophet of Wheaton, in retirement he provided fraternal care to Fr. William T.Cullen while assisting at Visitation Church,Elmhurst and St. Elizabeth Seton, Naperville

Rev Bill Cullen Our Weekend Associate May he rest in peace


Rev. William T. Cullen . He served the church as a priest for 69 years. Fr. Cullen was ordained as a member of the Claretian Fathers. He taught in their major seminary, completed post graduate studies in Rome resulting in a PhD in Philosophy and taught at St. Jude's Seminary in Momence, Illinois. As a member of the Diocese of Joliet, he served as Pastor of St. Paul Parish in Peotone, St. Ambrose in Crest Hill, Associate Pastor at Immaculate Conception in Elmhurst, Pastor of St. Petronille in Glen Ellyn, and Ascension of our Lord in Oakbrook Terrace. In retirement he assisted at St. Scholastica in Woodridge, St. Phillips in Addison, and St. Daniel the Prophet in Wheaton

Rev James Dvorscak Our 3rd Pastor


Prior to being assigned to be Pastor of St Daniel the Prophet Church Father Dvorscak’s was Pastor of St Mary Church Mokena for twelve years and six years as Associate Pastor of St. Mary’s, Pastor of Christ the King Parish in Lombard, (Brother Knights are you aware that Father James Dvorscak is a Sir Knight and served as Council 6993 Chaplain!)
